EDIT: Didn't end up going to OklaCon, but I'm still working on this. Background is almost done, but there is still a lot of work to do on this.
This is currently what I'm working on.I'd say I'm about 50% done with it. Once the background base colors are done, then I have to go back and darken the shading where needed, add the stars and whatever in the background with acrylics, add detailing to the fur with acrylics, some minor white pen details, and then I might be done. I'm hoping to get this all completed before I begin work, since I have no idea when I'll get some free time to really work on it before OklaCon.
This will be one of my pieces I'm making prints of for OklaCon. Right now, I'm just going to offer 8"x11" prints and then the original itself. Prints will also be offered up here if you're interested.

To help inspire you this month, #project-improve and #ProjectComment have joined creative and collaborative forces to bring you 'An Image Is Worth A Thousand Words' Contest.
The theme of this contest is pretty much as the title states; we would like you to draw on inspiration for a piece of literature that coincides with an image of your choice. The extent of the involvement of the image is entirely up to you.
Both visual artists and writers can take part, so please read the article to find out more!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A city is a place where there is no need to wait for next week to get the answer to a question, to taste the food of any country, to find new voices to listen to and familiar ones to listen to again.
